Here are eclectic, far-ranging recipes informed by crisp no-nonsense directions and a hungry, infectious urge to get on with the business at hand: eating at home, and eating as well as we can.
And, mixed with the recipes, there are musings on more or less related topics (eggs, olives, Parmesan ) written in the hope that while the serious concern— actually cooking the meal—is under way, some time may be pleasantly spent reading about and around the topic at hand.
The award-winning Epicure team comprises David Cobb, editor, columnist and author of Backroads of America; Charles Oberdorf, editor and co-author of among others. Between Friends!Entre Amis and First Class Canada; food columnist Jane Rodmell, who runs the Toronto specialty food shop All The Best Fine Foods; and food stylist Kate Bush who, along with Jane, co-authored The Getaway Chef. All four authors previously collaborated on Epicure s Toronto Food Book.
