Oííice to Oífice is a book for pre-intermediate students who need practice in commercial English, particularly letter writing, at an appropriate level. It is divided into two Parts, each Part sub-divided into Units.
The special features of the book are:
Each Part follows a storyline, based on the day-to-day business of two separate companies.
Each Unit has an introductory dialogue, presenting the topic for the Unit. The dialogues are an integrál part of the business activities; office staff discuss company policy and the contents of letters, take phone calls írom clients, then take appropriate action.
Each Unit provides examples of suitable business letters, generated by the storyline: an inquiry is acknowledged, requested information is given, orders are followed by (demands for) payment, complaints by apologies, and so on, all as a natural sequence of events.
