John Maier's introduction to Southern California came when he was assigned the unenviable task of scouting out and opening a retail location "somewhere in LA." He lived within earshot of the pounding surf in Redondo Beach for two years before moving just outside Downtown in Hollywood Hills! The evening he spotted a female whale with her two young calves 15 yards from shore rates even above seeing Star Trek's Scotty in an Italian restaurant as his most memorable lA experience. He currently is working on a book covering the bicycling and travelling experiences of his recent 19-month journey across Asia, Africa, and the South Pacific. He now resides in San Francisco. Vissza
