ames Mellon was born in Philadelphia in 1942, and educated at St Paul's School in Concord, New Hampshire. At the age of eighteen, he led the Carnegie Museum's East African expedition, which collected more than 3,500 bird, mammal, and reptile specimens for scientific study. Directly after his graduation from Yale with a degree in philosophy, Mr. Mellon moved to Nairobi, which for five years served as his headquarters for hunting and scientific expeditions all over Africa. Today he has one of the most comprehensive collections of African trophies; more than a hundred of them are records. Vissza
