When using the guide

In the first section of the book, information about Istanbul takes place. This section 1 then followed by places of exhibition, the objects they have inside as well as museums which we consider as a part of history.

In the bazaars section, information about historical places of priority, shopping places in there as well as shopping centers of today can be found. All locations of Istanbul that should be visited and seen are told under the title "Districts". This section is the main sightseeing section where important
tourist and historical locations are described. As a majority of these districts on the Historical Penmsula except for "Suriar" and "Haliç" (The Golden Horn) are neighbors to each other, their order in the book are accordingly organized. Sightseeing locations described in each section are given numbers and their locations on the city plan are shown. The districts "Suriar (the City Walls) and Haliç (the Golden Horn)" on the Historical Peninsula almost all districts of which can be seen on foot in half a day should be seen in a larger period of time. It should also be appropriate to have one free day for the trip to the Bogaz (the Bosporus) and Adalar (the Islands). The boat trip that shouH be taken to reach Adalar is also an appropriate choice for the Bosporus trip as the road traffic will take more time.
Each section of this guide booklet is
presented in different color codes whereas all subjects under the sightseeing section "Districts" are coded in the same color as they have the same characteristics. Enjoy Istanbul with this guide booklet which also includes addresses and phone numbers to health facilities, the police and tourist information offices as well as detailed information about transportation.
