Ihan Akflit was he was assigned excavation of Apht the Qanakkale - Tr <flit was born in Denizli in 1940. He as an archaeologist in 1965. When ssigned to a post related to the i of Aphrodisias. He was director of <ale - Trov Museum between 1968- horse we now see on the site was constructed. He directed the excavation of the Chryse Apollo temple over a period of fi ve years. From 1976-1978, the author acted as director of the Underwater Archaeology Museum, Bodrum and was appointed Director of National Palaces in 1978. During his directorship, the author was responsible for the restoration and reopening of these palaces to the public after an extended period of closure. 1982 he retired from his post to take up a career as an author of popular books on Turkish archaeology and tourism. He has nearly 30 titles to his credit to date, including "The Story of Troy", "Chora", The Civilizations of Anatolia", "<stanbur, The Blue Sailing", "The Hittites", "Cappadocia", "The Topkap> Palace",...
