IRELAND - Our Island Home takes you on a fascinating pictorial journey around the island of Ireland, through aerial photographs taken between 1992 and 1996 by Cork photographer Kevin Dwyer. Starting at Carlingford Lough in County Louth, Kevin takes us on a flight, in a clockwise direction around the coastal counties of the four provinces of Ireland. The journey shows many of the coastal towns, villages, harbours, anchorages, beaches and rivers all linked by water to make Our Island Home. Kevin spent an hour flying over Dublin on a beautiful day in the summer of 1996 and captured the city in a way that many will not have seen before. There are photographs of Cork, his home city which he refers to as the real capital of Ireland. The cities of Waterford, Limerick and Galway are alsó shown from above during the flight. All of us have a relationship with somé part of the coastline - it could be a place at the seaside where we were taken by our parents when we were children, or possibly... TovábbFülszöveg
