beautiful, and complex land
encompasses within its boundaries so
many different peoples, languages,
traditions and styles of life that it can
often baffle as well as dazzle.
Rupinder Khullar has been
photographing India for over two
decades, illuminating, through the
lenses of his camera and his own
unique vision, one facet after another
of the diversity of this country. As he
roams from one end of India to the
other, he travels through thousands of
years of history and through scenes so
varied that they seem to have
originated in at least a hundred worlds.
Yet something strong and subtle runs
through every single image, something
that clearly and unmistakably identifies
each as "India".
