About the Course
Cassell's Foundation English Course is a new four-book course (of which Expioring English was the first to appear) which takes the student from Beginner to Post-Intermediate level. About the Authors of the Course
Joanna Gray was for many years at Davies's School of English in London, latterly as Senior Tutor responsible for teacher training. She is now employed by the Department of Health and Social Security as Language Trainer in an experimentál pilot project. Michael Thom has taught at the Eurocentre in Forest Hill, London, for more than ten years and has wide experience of teaching students from many different countries at all levels.

The Teachers' Books, written with colleagues, suggest a variety of classroom activities and discuss difficult language points. They alsó give the scripts of the listening activities, culture background notes where necessary and answers to all the exercises. Somé of them give sample lesson plans.
About the Recorded Material
Two hours of recorded material, including the listening activities, dialogues and drills, is available on cassette.
About the Workbooks
All the Workbooks are written by experienced, practising teachers in close collaboration with the authors of the Course. Each Workbook contains imaginative and interesting exercises based on the main structural, lexical and functional areas covered in the Coursebook, so helping students to consolidate their learning in a thoroughly enjoyable way.
