Hotlíne Is a four-level course for teenagers. It may be started at beginner level (Hotlíne Starter) or false-beginner level (Hotlíne Elementary). Hotlíne takes students to an intermediate level of English.
Its key features are:
• a loopback syllabus. The course incorporates extensive recyciing and revision of language, ensuring that what is studied is learnt, remembered and easily recalled when needed.
• a grammar-based analytical approach. Grammar is treated as a problem-solving activity and students are treated as thinkers who are guided to work out the rules of grammar for themselves.

This level of Hotlíne comprises a Student s Book, Workbook, Teacher's Book and a set of two audio cassettes.
The Teacher's Book contains clear, step-by-step guidance for handling all the activities, together with answer keys for all the exercises.
The Teacher's Book alsó contains:
• an introduction to project work. The methodology of project work is introduced and explained, with guidance on preparation and evaiuation.
• cross-cultural notes. These explain aspects of language use and cuiture.
• tapescripts. These give the text of unseen listening exercises.
• Workbook key. There is a fuil key to ali the Workbook exercises.
• Cuiture spot teaching notes. These give guidance on exploiting the Cuiture spots in the Workbook for ciass discussion.
• tests. These are provided for each revision unit. They are in addition to the self-checks in the Workbook. Vissza
