activities in regard to their forces' motorization and an introductory pictorial
survey highlights typical examples of types which were made in the early
part of our century, including World War I.
Compiled under auspices of Wheels & Tracks, the Historic Military Vehicles
Directory (HMVD) is a much enlarged replacement for the author's best
selling Fighting Vehicles Directory, a standard work of reference for over 15
years. The HMVD will prove indispensable for anyone with an interest in
military history and motor vehicles in general alike, whether professionally or
otherwise, the latter including the ever-expanding group of private
enthusiasts who are in some way or other involved with this significant
aspect of militaria.
