He is the author of a number of books and articles on preaching and healing, and is co-author of a film, The Healing Ministry of the Church, Pyramid Films, 1972. "I am very much impressed with Father MacNutt's book for many reasons: it is clearly reasoned and very sensible, and speaks to the problems most people have with the healing ministry in a down-to-earth and realistic way. . . . It will have a sane and positive influence." Morton Kelsey Author of Healing and Christianity "This is the most sensitive and pastorally wise book on the ministry of healing that I have read. It combines extensive practical experience, psychological insight, deep faith in God's healing power, and compassion. In an age in which the sacraments of reconciliation and of anointing of the sick are undergoing a renewal, it is of important pastoral significance." Donald L. Gelpi, S.J. Author of Pentecostalism-A Theological Viewpoint "A testimony of hope of what the sacraments and ministries of the Church could be for people in desperate need of the healing power of Jesus Christ." Michael Scanlan, T.O.R. Author of Inner Healing "The ministry of healing means that we take the Incarnation seriously. . . . Instead of lessening the emphasis on the sacraments, we must rediscover the power of the sacraments." -from the special chapter: "A Talk to Priests" by Rev. Tommy Tyson Vissza
