Renowned for building strong and reliable
machines, Harley-Davidson has majored
on the V-twin engine for over 80 years,
developing and refining it to suit their
needs. Offered in many forms and styles,
the engine has always retained its special,
off-beat and uneven note that gives the

The company itself has run through both
good and bad times, including a take-over
and then a buy-back, but the final result
was well worth all the trauma. Now they
continue to build fine machines, more
