Farm Machinery was first published in 1938, since wlien it iias become tiie standard work on farm mechanization for students, farmers and their advisers, and the agricultural engineering industry.
in the five years since the ninth edition was prepared, the pace of progress in mechanization of agriculture has been at least as rapid as in any similar period since the publication of the first edition. Developments in mechanical handling techniques and the increasing application of microprocessors are examples of trends that have necessitated very many new Illustrations and a total revision of this classic work, which is again fully up to date.
