ERIC KROLL was born in New York in 1946 and worked as an art dealer and as a freelance photographer for Spiegel, Vogue and Elle magazines before specializing in erotic and bondage photography. His work has earned him a considerable reputation amongst connoisseurs of fetishism and may be ranked amongst the classics of the genre. He has named Man Ray, Weegee and Eric Stanton as his main influences. Eric Kroll's photos, most of which are shot at his New York studio, draw the observer into a world of bizarre fantasies and desires, yet they invariably retain a characteristic touch of Irony.

Sa réputation de photographe n'est plus a faire dans les milieux fétichistes et ses photographies soutiennent la comparaison avec les classiques du genre. Man Ray, Weegee et Eric Stanton sont ses modeles déclarés.
