This volume deals with development from the first cleavage of the fertilized egg to the birth of the new individual. Information is provided on all the important events of normal development as well as on the anomalous processes that are known to occur, and on the experimental approach to a better understanding of both the normal and the abnormal through the use of manipulative techniques.
