The fields of Communication and Simulation have each become well established in their own right but no previously published work has examined their increasing interdependence. This volume explores links between the two fields and in it the international group of authors provides insights into how communication and simulation support each other. David CROOKALL teaches English at the University of Toulon, France. He was 1986/87 President of the International Simulation and Gaming Association, and organised its 17th International Conference. He is a member of the editorial boards of Simulation/Games for Learning and Simulation & Games. He has published widely on simulation/gaming, and has run workshops and consulted for various organisations and universities in Europe and the USA. His main interests include language learning, international . relations and computerised simulation.
Danny SAUNDERS teaches at the Polytechnic of Wales, specialising in communication studies and behavioural sciences. He organised the 1987 conference of the Society for the Advancement of Games and Simulations in Education and Training, and is Book Review Editor for Simulation/Games for Learning. He has written widely on simulation/gaming, and co-authored Key Concepts in Communication. He is currently exploring aspects of gambling as related to game design and simulation theory. Vissza
