ABOUT TH E AUTHOR
Claudia Nice spent her childhood in Pordand, Oregon. Family camping trips in the nearby Cascade mountain range developed her love of nature.
She began experimenting with art materials at a young age, gained basic art skills in school and won a scholarship for summer art classes at the University of Kansas, where she began sketching in pen and ink.
Claudia and her husband, Jim, live in the Columbia River Gorge on the Oregon border. She travels as an art consultant for Koh-I-Noor Rapidograph and Grumbacher, teaching workshops across the United States and Canada. She has authored ten books, including Sketching Your Favorite Subjects in Pen & Ink from North Light Books, and numerous magazine articles, and has exhibited her work extensively.
