This book is a completely new
edition of Colourful Austria, which
has been a popular favourite for
many years, especially as a pre-
sent to friends in all parts of
the world. In his foreword
Heinz Scheibenpflug, a well-known
Austrian writer and journalist,

The backbone of the book are of
course the 96 pages of photo-

tion is also focused on some of
Austria's equally typical but less
glamorous features: a hut on a
high Alpine pasture perhaps, a
wayside shrine, a farmstead bay-
window, or an autumn glimpse of
some unfrequented path in the
Vienna Woods.
In short, the book is a worthily
comprehensive presentation of a
country that is rightly beloved by
Austrians and visitors alike; and
it is the infinite variety of the
Austrian landscape that makes
this country such an ideal subject
for reproduction in colour.
