About the Authors
David Pogue graduated from Yale University with Distinction in Music. On Broadway, he worked on several major productions in the capacity of orchestrator, musical director, synthesizer, programmer, music copyist, and vocal anranger. He is also the writer-illustrator for the bestselling music-notation software, Rnale. Pogue is also a Macintosh computer trainer and author of the international bestseller Macs' For Dummies".
Scott Speck has conducted symphonies, concertos, oratorios, and operas in hundreds of perfonnances around the worid. A summa cum laude graduate of Yale University, he has received numerous awards for academic achievement and outstanding contributions to cultural life. He traveled on a Fulbright scholarship to Beriin, Gemiany, where he founded a symphony orchestra. In addition, Speck is on the faculty of the American Symphony Orchestra League's National Conducting Worishops.
