Aircraft technology has changed beyond
recognition over the past 80 years, but aircraft
themselves have retained the same essential
features, albeit with certain individual
characteristics that lift them above the ranks of
the merely ordinary. Aces Past captures the spirit
engendered by a range of aircraft now regarded
by many as classics of their kind, and it does so in
a new and evocative way. There are over forty
examples of surviving aircraft flying today
pictured here in several hundred stunning colour
images and accompanied by often spectacular
contemporary black-and-white photographs.
