BILL SIMPKINS was educated in Fine Arts at the University of Calgary and at the Banff Centre. He worked for the Calgary Herald for 14 years and is now employed in the public affairs department of Petro-Canada. GRANT MACEWAN was the former mayor of Calgary and Lieutenant Governor of the Province of Alberta from 1966 to 1974. fie is the author of many books on the history of western Canada.
