The ancestors of Bl^ius, Petrus and Thomas belonged to one of the largest and most influential clans of Hungary with marital connections at the highest society levels. Their genealogical and social background adequately explains the Cardinal's motivations, , providing ground for his character réévaluation and restitution.

> About the Author
The author, son of historian/archaeologist Dr. Prof FerencTompa was born in 1933 at Budapest. He completed his university studies at Szeged in 1956 and acquired his Ph.D. at the University of British Columbia in 1963. He was a lecturer and research scientist at several Canadian and European universities and institutions. Prior to retirement he worked with the B.C. Ministry of Environment. He and his wife Christel had met at. the University of Helsinki. They live on an island along the Pacific Coast of British Columbia in a house they built themselves. Vissza
