'Boutique' is an autobiography. It is the life story of Czeizler Rose Visontay, heartwarmingly told and weaving three generations together.
Born in Hungary, one .of the daughters of a headmaster of an elementary school, she grew up in Debrecen. Her career in the fashion trade began at an early age and in Paris in the 'twenties' she perfected her skills as a dressmaker.
Rose returned to her hometown where she married and had her only child, a daughter. Here in Debrecen and in Budapest she established fashion salons and built up an entertaining clientele of 'actresses, ladies of gentility and harlots.'
The author and her family were not spared the storm of the second World War. When the Germans invaded Hungary she was deported and the wound in her heart has never healed.
After the war she and her husband followed their dauahter
to Sydney, Australia where he died soon after.
A surprise meeting led to her second marriage and new interests.

Czeizler Rose Visontay's full, pulsating life snapped when, on the last day of 1971 her adored daughter, Kathy, died leaving behind two children. From these grandchildren and the two grandchildren from her second marriage Rose drew the conviction that life must go on.
When she was sixty the author started flirting with art, and this flirting grew into a great love, and from this association she became not only a creative artist but also a fine storyteller.
Czeizler Rose Visontay who is today a respected artist in oils and ceramics, lives in Sydney. Through 'Boutique' she not only recounts her own and family's history but at the same time she has illustrated a whole era that is projected as on a screen before the readers eyes.
