San Miguel de Allende

Robert de Gast is an award-winning photographer and a noted writer. His books include The Churches and Chapels of San A%«e/(ER Publications, Five Fair Rivers (Johns Hopkins, 1996), The Doors of San Miguel de Allende (Pomegranate, 1994), Unreal Estate (Johns Hopkins, 1993), Western Wind, Eastern Shore (Johns Hopkins, 1975), The Lighthouses of the Chesapeake (Johns Hopkins, 1974), and The Oystermen of the Chesapeake (International Marine Publishing, 1971). De Cast's avocations include hot-air ballooning, which he pursues in Mexico, and sailing, which he does for part of the year on the East Coast of the United States.
