ANALYTICAL PSYCHOLOGY
This is a valuable introduction to the ideas on which Jung's work was based. In 1935 Jung was invited to give a course of lectures at the Tavistock Clinic. He dealt mainly with the principles upon which his own contributions to psychology rested, presenting them under two main headings: the structure and content of the mind, and the methods used in its investigation.
A report of the lectures and the succeeding discussions was recorded in typescript, and is here available in book form. The work is systematic, yet presented informally; the record of Jung's spoken word conveys a lasting impression of his personality.
'The publication of these lectures and discussions will not only be appreciated by analytical psychologists, but will alsó appeal to those who are interested in getting a vivid picture of Jung's personality. The liveliness of his language, with little use of technical terms, makes the book rewarding and interesting reading. The editor, Dr E. A.... Tovább

The liveliness of his language, with little use of technical terms, makes the book rewarding and interesting reading. The editor, Dr E. A. Bennett, deserves our warmest thanks.' — R. Strauss, Journal of Analytical Psychology
'This book gives a very good exposition of Professor C. G. Jung's theories concerning the structure and contents of the mind, and of his three methods of investigation, viz. word association, dream analysis and active imagination. The five lectures, originally delivered in English in 1935, still make lively reading and abound with pithy or witty state-ments.' — I. Atkin, British Journal of Psychiatry Vissza
