Mastering Modern English has been written for overseas students who are preparing for the Cambridge Overseas School Certificate, GCE '0' Level or similar examinations in English. It is divided into two parts: the first dealing with the topics most commonly tested in examinations (or likely to be tested in the future), and the second providing systematic revision of such basic matters as agreement, prepositions and the use of tenses, articles and pronouns. Although primarily designed for use in the classroom, this book can alsó be used with advantage by priváté students preparing for these examinations whether through a correspondence course or on their own.
