He has been a permanent fixture in Iceland's business and cultural scenes since he first returned home from England in 1982 upon completion of his studies at the London School of Economies. In 2000, following a harrowing experience in his life, he is overwhelmed by the urge to sit down and write short stories, known as "vignettes," and he has not stopped since, rather he has devoted himself entirely to the pursuit of writing.
